4. Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, specifications, prices and other information displayed on our website are accurate.

However, photographs may be illustrative and products may vary slightly in colour, appearance, packaging or presentation.

Natural products, including raw honey, beeswax and bee pollen, may naturally vary in colour, texture, aroma, flavour, consistency and appearance.

Such natural variation does not necessarily indicate a defect.

5. Product Availability

All products are subject to availability.

We may occasionally be unable to supply a product after an order has been placed due to stock shortages, supplier issues, biosecurity restrictions, transport restrictions or other circumstances.

If we cannot supply a product you have paid for, we will contact you and discuss an appropriate solution, which may include a replacement, alternative product or refund where applicable.

Shipping, freight, customs duties, taxes and other charges may be additional unless expressly stated otherwise.

7. Orders

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products.

An automated order confirmation does not necessarily mean that Nisendo Honey & Beekeeping has accepted the order.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • A product is unavailable.
  • There is an obvious pricing or listing error.
  • We cannot deliver the product to the nominated location.
  • The product cannot legally or practically be transported to the destination.
  • Biosecurity, quarantine or other regulatory requirements prevent fulfilment.
  • We reasonably suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity.
  • Other circumstances prevent us from fulfilling the order.

Where an order is cancelled by Nisendo Honey & Beekeeping after payment has been received, we will arrange an appropriate refund for the cancelled products, subject to applicable law.

8. Payment

Payment must be received before an order is dispatched unless Nisendo Honey & Beekeeping has expressly agreed otherwise.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that payment details supplied are accurate and that they are authorised to use the selected payment method.

Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers.

Our Shipping & Collection Policy applies to all deliveries and collections.

Our normal dispatch timeframe is 3–7 business days after payment has been received and cleared, unless otherwise stated.

Delivery times are estimates only and may vary according to destination, carrier, weather, seasonal conditions, public holidays, customs, biosecurity requirements and other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Availability and dispatch or collection dates may depend on weather, seasonal conditions, colony health, availability, transport conditions, biosecurity requirements and applicable laws.

Nisendo Honey & Beekeeping may postpone or reschedule the dispatch or collection of live bees where conditions are unsuitable or where required by applicable law or biosecurity requirements.

Customers purchasing live bees are responsible for ensuring that they are legally permitted to keep bees at their location and comply with all applicable registration, council, biosecurity and beekeeping requirements.

11. Customer Responsibility for Live Bees

Customers are responsible for having appropriate facilities, equipment, transport and knowledge to safely receive and care for live bees.

Following collection or delivery, customers are responsible for the appropriate handling, housing, feeding, management and care of their bees.

Nisendo Honey & Beekeeping is not responsible for deterioration, weakening, injury, absconding or death of live bees resulting from improper handling, unsuitable transport, inadequate housing, inadequate care, delayed collection or other circumstances outside our reasonable control, except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Beekeeping Risks and Bee Stings

Working with or being around live bees involves inherent risks, including bee stings and allergic reactions.

Customers, beekeepers, trainees, students and other participants are responsible for assessing their own suitability for working with or being around bees and taking appropriate precautions.

Nisendo Honey & Beekeeping does not accept responsibility for bee stings, allergic reactions, anaphylaxis or other adverse reactions arising from exposure to bees.

Appropriate protective clothing and equipment should be worn whenever required.

Anyone with a known or suspected allergy to bee stings should seek appropriate medical advice before participating in beekeeping activities.

The organisation should advise Nisendo Honey & Beekeeping of relevant information concerning participant numbers, age groups, known allergies and other safety considerations before the activity.
